John Batter, MD Introduce

When searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Omaha, Nebraska, it is essential to consider various aspects of a physician's practice, including their expertise, communication style, and patient care approach. Dr. John Batter, MD, located at 1120 N 103rd Plaza, Omaha, NE 68114, USA, has received contrasting feedback from patients, which warrants a careful and objective review for prospective local users.

Information regarding the specific environment of Dr. Batter's clinic is not detailed in the provided text. However, patient experiences can offer insights into the overall atmosphere and the interactions one might expect. One review expresses significant disappointment with Dr. Batter's bedside manner and communication during a critical care situation following the patient's father's heart surgery. The reviewer describes Dr. Batter as "unwilling to listen to the concerns" of the patient and family, displaying an "arrogant and condescending attitude." They further mention feeling that Dr. Batter was rushed and showed "little to no interest in addressing my father's anxieties." This account raises concerns about the doctor's empathy and communication skills, particularly during stressful and vulnerable times for patients and their families.

In contrast, another patient offers a positive perspective, stating, "Dr. Batter was my surgeon for Bypass surgery 2 years ago & he was great! Couldn't think of a better Thoracic Surgeon." This review highlights Dr. Batter's surgical skills and the patient's satisfaction with the outcome of their bypass surgery. It's important to note that this positive feedback specifically mentions his role as a "Thoracic Surgeon," which typically involves surgeries of the chest, including the heart and lungs. This suggests that Dr. Batter may have expertise in the surgical aspects of cardiac care.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive assessment of Dr. Batter's services and features without more comprehensive information. The negative review focuses on communication and bedside manner in a critical care setting, while the positive review praises his surgical skills. This suggests that patients' experiences may vary depending on the specific context of their care and their individual needs and expectations regarding physician interaction.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Dr. John Batter's practice in the provided text. Therefore, local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" will need to weigh the available patient feedback alongside their own priorities in a healthcare provider. If clear communication, empathy, and a strong focus on addressing patient and family concerns are paramount, the negative review should be carefully considered. Conversely, if surgical expertise is the primary need, the positive review regarding his bypass surgery skills may be more relevant.

It is important for local users to understand that online reviews represent individual experiences and may not reflect the entirety of a physician's practice. When making decisions about healthcare providers, it is often beneficial to seek additional information, such as professional affiliations, areas of specialization, and potentially, further patient testimonials from various sources if available. Contacting Dr. Batter's office directly at (402) 354-0400 or his mobile phone at +1 402-354-0400 may allow prospective patients to gather more information about his practice and determine if it aligns with their needs.

Given the limited and conflicting information, it is not possible to provide a comprehensive overview of Dr. Batter's services, typical clinic environment, or any unique features of his practice. The available reviews offer a glimpse into different aspects of patient experiences, highlighting both potential strengths in surgical expertise and significant concerns regarding communication and bedside manner in a critical care context.

For local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," the information presented here underscores the importance of considering multiple factors when choosing a healthcare provider. While Dr. Batter may possess strong surgical skills, the reported negative experience regarding communication and empathy should not be disregarded. It is recommended that individuals seeking cardiac care in Omaha conduct thorough research and consider their personal preferences for physician interaction and patient care when making their decision.

In conclusion, Dr. John Batter, MD, located in Omaha, has received both negative feedback concerning his communication and bedside manner in a critical care setting and positive feedback regarding his skills as a thoracic surgeon for bypass surgery. Local users seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" should carefully consider these contrasting perspectives and seek additional information to determine if Dr. Batter's practice meets their individual healthcare needs and preferences.

I have spent 48 years in healthcare and know excellent surgeons and great teams when I see them. I had first hand experience with a superb surgeon (Dr. John Batter) leading a great team (his CABG Patch Kids) at Methodist Hospital in early July. If you want Miss Congeniality, go to a Sandra Bullock movie. If you want consistently outstanding surgical results, go see Dr. Batter and his wonderful team.

I would have died if not for Dr. Batter. He worked on my heart through two back to back open heart surgeries through the middle of the night for 13+ hours straight. Five stars.

This man just gave the WORST bedside service that I have ever had the misfortune to see. Thank goodness he was NOT my father’s surgeon. It’s bad enough that he was the on call for two of his hospital days. Didn’t even bother to read the X-ray that was taken each morning.
