ICA Cardiology (Houston) Introduce

When searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Houston, particularly within the renowned Texas Medical Center, ICA Cardiology (Houston), located at 6550 Fannin St #2021, presents itself as a potential option for cardiovascular care. Situated in a hub of medical expertise, ICA Cardiology aims to serve the local community with a range of cardiac services. However, it is crucial for prospective patients to consider all available information, including recent patient feedback, to make an informed decision about their healthcare provider.

The location of ICA Cardiology within the Texas Medical Center offers certain advantages. This area is known for its concentration of leading medical institutions, research facilities, and specialists. Being situated here can provide patients with access to advanced diagnostic technologies and a collaborative medical environment. For individuals seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" within this central medical district of Houston, the Fannin Street address offers a potentially convenient location.

While specific details about the physical environment of ICA Cardiology's office are not extensively described, medical clinics in this area typically strive to maintain professional and functional spaces for patient consultations, examinations, and necessary procedures. However, it is important to note that one recent patient review mentioned observing a concern raised by staff from another doctor’s office regarding the responsiveness of ICA Cardiology's administrative team to phone calls. This observation, coupled with direct feedback from other patients, warrants careful consideration.

The services offered at ICA Cardiology (Houston) would generally encompass a range of diagnostic and treatment options for various heart conditions. These typically include non-invasive tests such as electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress tests, and ambulatory cardiac monitoring. Cardiologists at ICA Cardiology would also be involved in the medical management of conditions like coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia. The extent of interventional procedures or specialized treatments offered would require direct inquiry with the clinic.

However, a significant portion of the recent patient feedback raises concerns regarding the administrative and communicative aspects of ICA Cardiology's practice. Multiple reviewers express dissatisfaction with the office staff's responsiveness, specifically citing a failure to return phone calls in a timely manner, if at all. One reviewer noted that the only point of contact was often a "worthless" call center, hindering direct communication with the clinic itself. This lack of effective communication can create significant frustration and impede the smooth coordination of care, particularly when dealing with important matters such as appointment scheduling, medication instructions, and billing inquiries.

One patient recounted a negative experience regarding the lack of clear instructions for a stress test and another unnamed test, leading to a necessary cancellation due to a misunderstanding about medication restrictions. This highlights the potential for communication breakdowns to directly impact a patient's ability to undergo necessary medical testing. Furthermore, the billing practices of ICA Cardiology have also been a source of confusion and frustration for at least one patient, who had to involve their insurance company to clarify billing issues, including the alleged practice of billing under two different names.

The negative feedback culminates in strong recommendations from some reviewers to avoid ICA Cardiology altogether due to the reported poor customer service and administrative issues. These concerns regarding communication, clarity of instructions, and billing practices should be carefully weighed by individuals considering this clinic for their heart care needs.

It is important to present a balanced view, and one review offers a very positive perspective on a specific cardiologist at ICA Cardiology, Dr. Albert Raizner. This reviewer describes Dr. Raizner as an "awesome," "caring, compassionate, knowledgeable" cardiologist who provided exceptional care to their father for over 25 years, including navigating multiple serious cardiac events. The fact that Dr. Raizner personally called the patient's mother upon learning of her husband's passing speaks volumes about his dedication and empathy. This positive feedback strongly suggests that the quality of medical care provided by individual physicians within ICA Cardiology may be high.

Therefore, while there are significant concerns raised about the office staff's communication and administrative processes, the positive experience with Dr. Raizner indicates that the clinical expertise of at least one cardiologist within the practice is highly regarded. Potential patients may need to consider whether the reported administrative challenges outweigh the potential benefits of seeing a specific physician within the clinic, if a particular doctor is sought after.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for ICA Cardiology (Houston) in the provided text. Individuals interested in learning more about the clinic's services, physicians, and any specific programs they may offer are advised to contact them directly at (713) 790-9125 or +1 713-790-9125. When calling, it would be prudent to inquire specifically about their communication protocols and billing practices, in light of the recent patient feedback.

In conclusion, ICA Cardiology (Houston), located within the Texas Medical Center at 6550 Fannin St #2021, offers cardiology services in a potentially convenient location. While one long-term patient review praises the exceptional care provided by Dr. Albert Raizner, recent feedback raises significant concerns regarding the office staff's communication, clarity of instructions, and billing practices. Prospective patients should carefully consider these factors and conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the clinic, before making a decision about their heart care provider.

My dad had an awesome cardiologist, Dr. Albert Raizner. I had notified his office of Dad’s passing and this morning, HE PERSONALLY CALLED my mom! He was Dad’s cardiologist for more than 25 years and pulled Dad through multiple heart attacks, procedures, and a cardiac arrest in ‘16. If you are looking for a cardiologist, you won’t find a more caring, compassionate, knowledgeable one, than Dr. Raizner!

I have been under the care of Dr Clement A Defelice, and Interventional Cardiology Associates and staff since late September/early October, 1995, which was during recovery from, and after, my 2nd CAB Surgery, with Diagnostic Testing along the way, and includes my AAA Repair in late March, 2002. Much appreciated.
