Franciscan Physician Network Cardiology Crown Point Introduce

For individuals seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in Crown Point, Indiana, Franciscan Physician Network Cardiology located at 12750 St Francis Dr Suite 320 is an option to consider. This facility is part of the Franciscan Physician Network, a large network of healthcare providers serving communities across Indiana and Illinois. While specific details about the clinic's environment and promotional offers are not available in the provided information, we can offer an introduction based on its affiliation and the limited available patient feedback.

As part of the Franciscan Physician Network, Franciscan Physician Network Cardiology in Crown Point likely operates with a commitment to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care within a professional medical setting. Typically, clinics within such networks aim to offer a range of services to address various heart health needs. These services often include diagnostic evaluations, treatment for existing heart conditions, and preventative cardiology measures. Patients can generally expect to find consultation rooms, examination areas, and potentially on-site facilities for certain cardiac tests, contributing to a standard medical environment.

The services that might be available at Franciscan Physician Network Cardiology in Crown Point, based on its specialty, could encompass:

  • General Cardiology Consultations: Evaluation of heart health concerns, risk factor assessment, and development of treatment plans.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: These may include electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and potentially other advanced cardiac imaging techniques to diagnose various heart conditions.
  • Management of Cardiovascular Diseases: Care for patients with conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. This often involves medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Preventive Cardiology: Strategies to reduce the risk of developing heart disease through lifestyle modifications, medication when necessary, and patient education.
  • Coordination of Care: Collaboration with other specialists, such as cardiac surgeons or vascular specialists, when more complex interventions are required.

Features of a cardiology practice within a larger network like Franciscan Physician Network often include access to a broader system of care, potentially facilitating referrals and access to specialized hospital services if needed. Patients may also benefit from the network's established protocols and standards of care. However, the provided patient reviews offer a critical perspective on the patient experience at this specific location in Crown Point.

The two available reviews present significant concerns regarding the office's administrative and communication practices. One reviewer described the "worst response a nurse can give" and alleged being hung up on when inquiring about appointment availability. This raises questions about the professionalism and responsiveness of the nursing staff, which can significantly impact a patient's initial interaction with the clinic.

The second, more detailed review outlines a series of negative experiences over an extended period. These include allegations of rude and unaccommodating office staff, a physician (Dr. Samyn) appearing unaware of a patient's history and reason for the appointment, and significant delays and miscommunication regarding follow-up care and referrals. The reviewer specifically mentioned a lack of awareness by the doctor about a recent inpatient stay, repeated calls required to obtain information, and delays in scheduling and referrals, even in a case described as 100% blockage (though the emergent nature was later questioned by the office's COVID-19 scheduling restrictions). The reviewer's frustration culminated in labeling these issues as a "third strike," indicating a pattern of unsatisfactory experiences and questioning the standard of care.

It is important to consider these reviews as direct accounts from individuals who have interacted with Franciscan Physician Network Cardiology in Crown Point. While these are just two experiences and may not represent the experience of every patient, they highlight potential areas of concern regarding communication, organization, and possibly the level of individual attention provided to patients. For local users searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," these reviews serve as a cautionary note and suggest the importance of considering these potential administrative and communication challenges alongside the perceived clinical expertise.

While Franciscan Physician Network Cardiology in Crown Point is part of a larger healthcare network, these individual patient experiences suggest that local users may want to consider these reported issues alongside the convenience of location when choosing a "Heart Doctor Near Me." If this cardiologist really cared about his patients he would have made a point to see me before the medical procedure. They should have contacted me way before the day before the procedure to let me know that I would have to come in. How can they say they care about you if they won't work with you or other doctors to make sure that you are able to get the procedures you need as scheduled.

Dr. Hameed checked my bp that previous doctors had done and indicated same meds. He indicated that I had a heart murmur, did not explain, and it was "Have a nice day," and out the door. Saw his PA in four months, and same old same old. Got a notice for another check up with PA ; no explanations. I'm not doing that number again.
