Franciscan Cardiovascular Associates at St. Michael Introduce
For residents in Silverdale, Washington, and the surrounding Kitsap Peninsula seeking cardiovascular care, Franciscan Cardiovascular Associates at St. Michael is a local point of interest within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" platform category. Located at 1950 NW Myhre Rd 3rd Floor, Silverdale, WA 98383, this clinic is part of the reputable Franciscan Health system. While the medical expertise of the doctors and medical staff is acknowledged in patient reviews, there are mixed opinions regarding the administrative aspects of the practice. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the available feedback, covering the potential environment, likely services, and features, while noting the administrative concerns raised by patients.
Environment and Atmosphere:
As part of the Franciscan Health system located within St. Michael Medical Center, patients can likely expect a professional medical environment. The facility is likely equipped with the necessary infrastructure for cardiac consultations, examinations, and potentially some diagnostic procedures. The positive feedback regarding at least one member of the administrative staff ("superior," "Thank you Janaye") suggests that there are individuals who provide excellent service. However, the recurring negative comments about other administrative staff being "incompetent," "short, rude," and struggling with "basic things like make a follow up appointment" paint a concerning picture of the overall administrative atmosphere. Patients have reported the need to be highly proactive in ensuring tasks such as prescription refills and test scheduling are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The strict policy regarding punctuality ("even 5 minutes late you have missed your appointment") coupled with reported wait times after check-in ("20-30 minutes") may contribute to patient frustration and a potentially stressful experience. While the medical care itself is reportedly good, the administrative challenges appear to significantly impact the overall patient experience and the perceived atmosphere of the clinic.
Comprehensive Services:
As a cardiovascular practice within a larger healthcare system, Franciscan Cardiovascular Associates at St. Michael likely offers a range of essential cardiac services aimed at the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart and vascular diseases. These services typically include:
- Comprehensive Cardiac Consultations and Evaluations: Thorough assessments of patient medical history, symptoms, and risk factors for various heart conditions.
- Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG): A standard diagnostic test to measure the electrical activity of the heart.
- Echocardiography: An ultrasound imaging technique used to visualize the heart's structure and function.
- Stress Testing (Exercise and/or Pharmacological): Evaluating the heart's response to stress to detect underlying issues.
- Holter and Event Monitoring: Continuous or intermittent recording of the heart's electrical activity.
- Management of Common Cardiovascular Conditions: Diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
- Medication Management: Prescribing and monitoring medications for various cardiac conditions.
- Coordination of Diagnostic Testing: Ordering and interpreting results from various cardiac tests.
- Referrals for Specialized Procedures and Surgery: When necessary, referring patients to other specialists within the Franciscan Health system or elsewhere for advanced interventions.
- Preventive Cardiology: Educating patients on lifestyle modifications and strategies to maintain heart health.
The positive comments regarding the "Doctors and medical staff" being "great" suggest that the clinical expertise and the range of services provided are likely of a high standard. However, the reported administrative challenges could potentially impede a patient's access to and experience with these services.

Administrative Concerns and Potential Drawbacks Based on Reviews:
- Inconsistent Administrative Staff Performance: Reports of some administrative staff being "incompetent," "short, rude," and making mistakes raise concerns about the efficiency and quality of administrative support.
- Challenging Scheduling Policies: The strict "5 minutes late" policy, coupled with reported wait times, may create inconvenience and frustration for patients.
- Potential for Errors and Forgotten Tasks: Patients have reported the need to actively advocate for themselves to ensure prescriptions are filled and tests are scheduled as directed.
- Limited Alternative Options on the Peninsula: The reviewer's comment about limited alternatives suggests that some local users may feel they have no choice but to navigate these administrative challenges.

I found the administrative staff to be superior. Thank you Janaye.
I was hospitalized for several days at St. Michael’s and have since followed up with Dr. Goleski. He and the PA’s on the cardio team at the hospital all had great bedside manner and took the time to answer all my questions/concerns. The OR team worked hard to help me through my procedure calmly. I would recommend this team to anyone who had cardio concerns. That said, I can’t speak for the quality of any of the other physicians, so do your research.
