Dr. Wasim Ahmar, MD FACC Introduce
For individuals in Taiwan seeking information about cardiovascular healthcare options, whether for themselves, their loved ones residing abroad, or to understand the experiences of those seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in regions like Longwood and Altamonte Springs, Florida, USA, this introduction focuses on Dr. Wasim Ahmar, MD FACC, practicing at 450 W State Rd 434 Suite 3010, Longwood, FL 32750, USA. As a board-certified cardiologist (indicated by FACC - Fellow of the American College of Cardiology), Dr. Ahmar likely provides a range of cardiac care services. The available patient reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the clinic environment, wait times, and overall patient experience, which are important factors to consider when choosing a cardiologist.
Based on the two patient reviews provided, this introduction aims to objectively outline the perceived environment, potential services, and features of Dr. Ahmar's practice. It is important to note that these reviews offer differing viewpoints, with one highlighting significant negative aspects and the other providing a positive assessment.
Environment and Staff (Perceived):
The first review paints a negative picture of the clinic environment, noting issues with cleanliness ("A/C duct is gross," "biohazard container was dirty," "could use some cleaning"). These observations raise concerns about the hygiene and maintenance standards of the facility. However, this reviewer did offer a positive comment regarding the staff, describing them as "very decent." This suggests a potential disconnect between the administrative or facility management and the patient-facing staff.
The second review does not explicitly comment on the cleanliness of the Longwood office but mentions seeing Dr. Ahmar at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and subsequent follow-up in his own office. This reviewer found the technicians in Dr. Ahmar's office to be "better than the hospital staff," suggesting a positive experience with the clinical support team. This contrast with the first review highlights the subjective nature of environmental perceptions and the potential for variability within the practice or between locations if Dr. Ahmar practices in multiple settings.
Services Offered (Inferred):
As a cardiologist, Dr. Ahmar likely offers a comprehensive range of services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular conditions. These typically include:
- Consultations: Appointments for initial evaluations, follow-up care, and discussion of treatment plans for various heart conditions.
- Diagnostic Testing: The reviews mention "testing was done in his office," which could include non-invasive tests such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, and possibly stress tests or Holter monitoring. The first review also mentions being set up with "testing" after the initial consultation.
- Medical Management of Heart Conditions: Prescription and monitoring of medications for conditions like hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, and heart failure.
- Potential for Procedures: As a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Dr. Ahmar has met specific qualifications and demonstrated expertise in the field. Depending on his sub-specialty within cardiology, he may also perform procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, or electrophysiology studies. However, the provided reviews do not explicitly confirm these services are offered in his Longwood office.
The second reviewer's statement, "I trust the plan of care that he has for me," suggests that Dr. Ahmar is involved in developing and overseeing comprehensive treatment strategies for his patients.
Features and Approach:
One significant negative feature highlighted in the first review is the excessive wait time and lack of communication. The patient waited over an hour past their appointment time with no updates, which understandably led to a negative overall experience. The brevity of the doctor's visit (approximately seven minutes) after such a long wait is also a point of concern raised by this reviewer.
In contrast, the second review praises Dr. Ahmar's informative nature ("He was very informative") and the trust he instills in his patients regarding their care plan ("I trust the plan of care that he has for me"). This patient also noted that Dr. Ahmar "answered all questions" and experienced a "pretty good" wait time, suggesting variability in the patient experience regarding punctuality.
The positive comment about the technicians being "better than the hospital staff" in the second review suggests a potentially skilled and patient-focused clinical support team within Dr. Ahmar's office.
Overall, the features of Dr. Ahmar's practice appear to be a mix of potential for long wait times and environmental concerns (based on one review), coupled with informative and trustworthy care provided by Dr. Ahmar and a competent technical staff (based on the other review).
Promotional Information (Inferred):
The second review serves as a strong implicit endorsement for Dr. Ahmar's medical expertise and patient communication skills. The statement, "I would definitely recommend him 100% to anyone who needs a cardiologist," is a clear indication of high patient satisfaction. The trust expressed in his plan of care and his willingness to answer questions thoroughly are positive attributes that could attract new patients.
However, the first review presents a significant counterpoint, highlighting issues that could deter potential patients, such as long wait times, poor communication in the waiting area, and concerns about the cleanliness of the facility. This suggests that while Dr. Ahmar may possess medical expertise, the overall patient experience can be significantly impacted by administrative and environmental factors.
Therefore, any promotional aspect inferred from the positive review should be balanced with the serious concerns raised in the negative one.
Considerations for Users in Taiwan:
For individuals in Taiwan seeking information about cardiologists, the contrasting experiences reported by patients of Dr. Ahmar underscore the importance of considering multiple aspects of a medical practice. While a doctor's medical knowledge and ability to explain conditions are crucial, factors such as wait times, communication, and the cleanliness of the facility can significantly impact the overall patient experience.
The significant discrepancy in the two reviews suggests that individual experiences may vary. When considering a "Heart Doctor Near Me" for themselves or loved ones, it is advisable to seek a broader range of reviews and potentially inquire about the typical wait times and office environment directly from the clinic. The fact that Dr. Ahmar is FACC certified indicates a certain level of professional standing and expertise within cardiology.
It is also worth noting that the second reviewer followed up with Dr. Ahmar after seeing him at a hospital, suggesting that he may have affiliations with larger medical centers, which could be a factor in choosing a cardiologist for continuity of care.
Conclusion:
Dr. Wasim Ahmar, MD FACC, in Longwood, Florida, is a board-certified cardiologist who has received mixed reviews from patients online. One patient reported a negative experience characterized by a very long wait time with no communication, a brief consultation, and concerns about the cleanliness of the office, despite acknowledging the decency of the staff. In contrast, another patient described a positive experience, highlighting Dr. Ahmar's informative nature, trustworthiness regarding the care plan, thoroughness in answering questions, and a reasonable wait time. This patient also found the technicians in Dr. Ahmar's office superior to hospital staff and offered a strong recommendation. These contrasting reviews suggest that while Dr. Ahmar may provide competent and informative medical care, potential patients should be aware of the possibility of long wait times and should perhaps inquire about the cleanliness and communication protocols of his Longwood office before scheduling an appointment. The positive feedback regarding his expertise and the technical staff should also be considered.

Dr.Ahmar is currently my cardiologist. I seen him in Advent Altamonte Springs and followed up after that visit. Testing was done in his office as well, technicians were better than the hospital staff. He was very informative and I trust the plan of care that he has for me. He answered all questions and wait time was pretty good. I would definitely recommend him 100% to anyone who needs a cardiologist.

Was referred by Advent Health to see Dr.Warren for cardiology and so far I am well pleased. He is very knowledge, nice, and his staff is very nice friendly and well trained. A little bit of a wait time but worth it. Love the testing protocols, they were very comprehensive and he reviewed the results very understandably. I would recommend him to anyone who asks me for a cardiologist.
