Located on Canyon Estates Drive in Lake Elsinore, Suite 228, Dr. Qasqas's office is situated within a professional building. While specific details about the ambiance and interior design are not available online, medical offices in such settings typically strive to provide a clean and functional environment for patient consultations and medical examinations. Patients can likely expect a reception area and private examination rooms designed to facilitate discussions about their health concerns and conduct necessary cardiac assessments. The professionalism and friendliness of the office staff, as mentioned in one of the reviews, can contribute positively to the overall patient experience.

Dr. Shadi A. Qasqas, MD, is a cardiologist, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels. Without a detailed professional profile, we can infer the general scope of services a cardiologist in his practice would typically offer. These generally include diagnostic testing, medical management of heart conditions, and preventative cardiology. However, the provided patient reviews offer some insight into the patient experience at his office, which should be considered alongside the potential services offered.

Based on the general scope of cardiology, the services offered by Dr. Qasqas likely include:

  • Comprehensive Cardiovascular Evaluations: Thorough consultations for patients with known or suspected heart conditions, including a review of medical history, physical examination, and assessment of risk factors for heart disease.
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG): A fundamental diagnostic test that records the electrical activity of the heart to detect abnormalities in rhythm and conduction.
  • Echocardiography: An essential non-invasive imaging technique using ultrasound to visualize the heart's structure, function, and blood flow, helping to diagnose various cardiac conditions. This may include transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography.
  • Stress Testing: Evaluating the heart's response to physical exertion to detect potential limitations in blood flow or electrical abnormalities that may not be apparent at rest. Different types of stress tests may be utilized.
  • Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring: Employing devices such as Holter monitors or event recorders to continuously or intermittently monitor the heart's electrical activity over a period of time, crucial for diagnosing intermittent arrhythmias or palpitations.
  • Diagnosis and Management of Common Cardiac Conditions: Providing care for prevalent heart conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), coronary artery disease (angina, myocardial infarction), heart failure, and various arrhythmias.
  • Preventive Cardiology: Focusing on strategies to reduce the risk of developing heart disease through lifestyle modifications, risk factor management, and patient education.
  • Medication Management: Prescribing and monitoring medications used to treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
  • Coordination of Care and Referrals: Collaborating with other specialists, such as interventional cardiologists or cardiac surgeons, when more advanced procedures or specialized care are necessary.

However, it is crucial to consider the information provided in the patient reviews when assessing the features of Dr. Qasqas's practice. One review highlights a significant issue with a "physician assistant" who was described as "absolutely rude and unprofessional" and lacking "medical skills." This negative feedback regarding a member of the medical team could impact the overall patient experience and should be a point of consideration for potential patients. The same review also notes positive interactions with the office staff and the intake nurse.

The second review details a concerning interaction directly with Dr. Qasqas. The patient, who was referred by their general practitioner following a minor stroke and with a history of high blood pressure (HBP), reported that Dr. Qasqas repeatedly questioned the reason for the appointment. The patient described Dr. Qasqas as giving a "condescending smirk" and suggesting that the patient should follow his recommendations over others. Furthermore, the patient reported that Dr. Qasqas dismissed their past experience of suicidal ideation related to high-dose blood pressure medication. This review raises significant concerns about Dr. Qasqas's communication style, his handling of patient history, and his interpersonal skills. The patient explicitly stated they would not return and would not recommend him.

Given these reviews, potential patients should be aware of the reported negative experiences. While the office staff and intake nurse received positive feedback in one instance, the serious concerns raised about the physician assistant and Dr. Qasqas himself warrant careful consideration. The reported issues with condescending behavior, dismissiveness of patient history, and unprofessional communication are significant factors that could negatively impact the patient-physician relationship and the overall quality of care experienced.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Dr. Qasqas's practice. In the absence of positive testimonials or specific promotions, the negative feedback provided by the two reviewers becomes particularly important for potential patients to consider when making decisions about their cardiac care.

For individuals in the Lake Elsinore area seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Dr. Qasqas's office provides a local option. However, the publicly available reviews raise serious concerns about the professionalism of at least one staff member and, more significantly, about Dr. Qasqas's communication style and patient interaction. Potential patients are strongly advised to consider these reviews carefully and perhaps seek additional information or consider alternative providers in the area to ensure a comfortable and respectful healthcare experience.

To obtain further information, individuals may contact Dr. Qasqas's office directly. However, in light of the reported patient experiences, it would be prudent for potential patients to weigh this information against their own preferences and priorities in a healthcare provider. Seeking second opinions or exploring other cardiologists in the Lake Elsinore area might be a wise course of action to ensure they find a physician with whom they feel comfortable and respected.

In conclusion, Dr. Shadi A. Qasqas, MD, is a cardiologist practicing in Lake Elsinore, CA. While his office offers local heart care services, the limited available patient reviews present significant concerns regarding the professionalism of a physician assistant and Dr. Qasqas's communication style and patient interactions. Potential patients should carefully consider this feedback when making decisions about their cardiac care and may want to explore other options within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category in the Lake Elsinore area to ensure a positive and respectful healthcare experience.

The office staff was professional and friendly. Intake Nurse perfect. The physician assistant was absolutely rude and unprofessional. No medical skills whatsoever. All and all. This is a Cardiologist appointment not amateur hour at the free clinic.

Dr. Qasqas came in and began repeatedly asking why I was there, why had I made the appointment. I explained my GP had made the appointment because I'd had a minor stroke and have HBP. He gave a condescending smirk and said that HBP was his business. So I should go with what he wanted to do instead of going with the others ideas. He then told me I was funny when I said that high dose blood pressure medication made me suicidal years ago. Never going back and would not recommend.

Great staff and great Dr! Yuri and the staff jumped through hoops for me to get my procedure approved by my insurance. Dr Qasqas and the nurses were amazing at keeping me calm and explaining ever step as it took place. Great experience.

Dr Qasqas has been a great doctor for my mom and dad for years now. But this lady named Sophia, you are rude! People who work in the medical clinic should have at least some skill to speak politely over the phone. If you are not happy with your job, just quit. You are speaking to patients. Telling me you dont work in their office was so unprofessional! Atleast be cautious with the words that you use.
