Dr. Ranjita Sengupta, MD Introduce

For local users in Bridgewater, NJ, and the surrounding areas seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," we present information about Dr. Ranjita Sengupta, MD, who practices at 465 Union Ave suite a, Bridgewater, NJ 08807, USA. The available patient reviews offer contrasting perspectives on Dr. Sengupta's care, which potential patients may find valuable in their decision-making process.

One long-term patient has been under Dr. Sengupta's care for many years and expresses a high level of satisfaction. This patient, who has a complex medical history including multiple strokes and a heart attack due to a coagulation disorder, describes Dr. Sengupta as consistently "on top of my case." This suggests a proactive and thorough approach to managing complex cardiac conditions. Furthermore, this patient considers Dr. Sengupta to be one of their "favorite doctors," highlighting positive personal interactions. Dr. Sengupta is described as "attentive and compassionate," indicating a caring and patient-focused bedside manner. The reviewer also affirms Dr. Sengupta's medical knowledge by stating that "she knows her stuff!" This positive testimonial from a patient with significant cardiac history speaks to Dr. Sengupta's experience and dedication.

However, a more recent review presents a different perspective. This patient, who was under Dr. Sengupta's care for "a little over a year," initially found her to be "attentive." However, the reviewer notes a perceived decline in her attentiveness over time, stating that "over time she seemed to listen less and less." This suggests a potential shift in the patient's experience, which could be a point of concern for prospective patients. Additionally, this reviewer reported a significant issue with punctuality, recounting a 45-minute wait in the waiting room without even an apology. This lack of communication and respect for patient time led the reviewer to decide to seek care from a different cardiologist. This negative experience highlights potential issues with scheduling and patient communication within the practice.

The provided reviews offer limited insight into the environment of Dr. Sengupta's office beyond the waiting room. The negative review mentions a 45-minute wait in the waiting room, but does not describe its comfort or ambiance. The positive review does not comment on the physical environment. Therefore, local users may want to inquire about the office setting when contacting the practice.

Based on the information provided, the services offered by Dr. Ranjita Sengupta, MD, likely include a range of cardiac care, such as:

  • General Cardiology Consultations: Evaluation of various heart-related symptoms and conditions.
  • Long-term Management of Cardiac Conditions: As indicated by the patient with a history of strokes and a heart attack.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Coagulation Disorders Affecting the Heart: Based on the positive reviewer's medical history.
  • Potential for Routine Cardiac Check-ups and Preventative Care: As suggested by the patient who was seen for over a year.

It is reasonable to assume that Dr. Sengupta provides standard diagnostic tests such as EKGs and may order or refer patients for more specialized cardiac testing as needed. However, specific services offered would need to be confirmed directly with the practice.

The features of Dr. Ranjita Sengupta's practice, as gleaned from the patient reviews, present a mixed assessment:

  • Potential for Attentive and Compassionate Care: The long-term patient highlights these positive qualities, especially in managing complex cases.
  • Experienced in Managing Complex Cardiac Histories: The positive review indicates experience with patients who have had strokes and heart attacks.
  • Possible Decline in Attentiveness Over Time: A more recent patient reported a perceived decrease in listening skills.
  • Potential Issues with Punctuality and Communication: The 45-minute unacknowledged wait reported in the negative review is a significant concern.

In conclusion, for individuals in Bridgewater, NJ, looking for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Dr. Ranjita Sengupta, MD, has received both positive and negative feedback. While one long-term patient praises her attentiveness, compassion, and expertise in managing a complex cardiac history, a more recent patient reported declining attentiveness and significant issues with punctuality and communication. I have been seeing Dr Sengupta for many years now. She has always remained on top of my case (I have had multiple strokes and a heart attack due to coagulation disorder) and is one of my favorite doctors to see. She is attentive and compassionate and knows her stuff!

Went here for a little over a year. She started out attentive, but over time she seemed to listen less and less. Last time I was there I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room without so much as an apology. I am moving on to a different cardiologist.
