This suggests a specialization in electrophysiology, which deals with the electrical activities of the heart. Services likely include:

  • Cardiac Ablation: A procedure to correct heart rhythm problems by scarring or destroying tissue in the heart that is triggering an abnormal rhythm.
  • General Cardiology Consultations: Diagnosis and management of various heart conditions.
  • Post-operative Care: Follow-up and management after cardiac procedures.

However, one review also mentions that Dr. Chinitz may have his Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) handle the initial consult and office visit, which is a common practice in many medical offices to manage patient flow and provide comprehensive care.

  • Efficient Post-operative Care: One patient who had a procedure noted that the team helped expedite their post-op visits and care.

However, it is crucial to also consider the concerns raised in another review, which presents a contrasting perspective on Dr. Chinitz's practices, including allegations of unnecessary procedures, issues with informed consent, delegation of procedures without informing the patient, and falsification of medical records. I had an Ablation with Doctor Chinitz in March @NYU. I found him and his whole team to be exceptional. The new Kimmel Center is a whole new building with such a better experience for appointments. Him and his staff on that floor and unit are highly skilled. Many people come from all around the world to get treated by his team. All the RN Nurses, doctors and PA’s were very knowledgeable. I also had to visit after my surgery and they really helped me expedite my visits and post op care.

Dr. Larry Chinitz has his NP or PA handle the consult and office visit. He authorized an unnecessary cardiac ablation. He did not provide informed consents forms in advance. His informed consent forms contained false and misleading information. He had another surgeon perform the cardiac ablation and did not inform the patient. He falsified medical records.
