For our users in Taiwan seeking information within the platform category "Heart Doctor Near Me," we are providing an objective introduction to Dr. Augusto E. Villa, MD, located at 661 University Blvd suite 201, Jupiter, FL 33458, USA. While geographically distant, understanding the experiences of other patients with Dr. Villa can offer valuable perspectives when considering different healthcare providers. This introduction aims to present a balanced view based on the available online reviews, highlighting both the reported strengths and weaknesses of his practice.
Dr. Augusto E. Villa is a cardiologist practicing in Jupiter, Florida. His office can be reached at (561) 363-4400, and the same number serves as his mobile phone contact, +1 561-363-4400. The address indicates a location within a medical building on University Boulevard, suggesting a standard medical office environment.
The available patient reviews for Dr. Villa offer contrasting perspectives on his practice. One review is overwhelmingly positive, describing Dr. Villa as akin to "Superman" who "hides his cape under the Dr.'s white coat." The reviewer claims to know of "so many hundreds and hundreds of surgeries which have all been successful," portraying Dr. Villa as a highly skilled surgeon. This patient also notes that Dr. Villa is "great with patients" and "deeply cares about each and every patient," stating that "Saving Lives is what he's known." This strong testimonial suggests exceptional surgical skills and a caring bedside manner.
However, another patient review details a significantly negative experience related to appointment management and communication. This patient, a retired physician, had a 2 PM appointment but was not called in by 3 PM. Upon inquiring at the front desk, a "very pleasant receptionist" informed them that Dr. Villa was excellent but frequently ran late. The patient found this delay "ridiculous." Subsequently, the patient spoke with Dr. Villa's nurse, who explained that Dr. Villa was running late due to an earlier myocardial emergency. The nurse also indicated that there were still three patients waiting before this individual, and therefore, an exact wait time could not be provided.
The retired physician expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of proactive communication regarding the delay. They pointed out that in their own practice, patients would be informed of such emergencies and given the option to wait or reschedule. The reviewer noted that no one approached them to explain the situation until they themselves inquired. Drawing a parallel to a Seinfeld episode about car rental reservations, the patient felt that while an appointment was made, it was not being kept in a respectful manner. Consequently, the patient chose to leave, stating that while Dr. Villa might be an excellent physician, this was "no way to treat patients."
Based on these reviews, we can infer several aspects of Dr. Villa's practice:
- Reported Exceptional Surgical Skills: One review strongly suggests a high level of surgical expertise and a history of successful outcomes, potentially in complex cardiac surgeries.
- Caring Demeanor (in some accounts): The positive review emphasizes a caring attitude towards patients.
- Significant Appointment Delays: The negative review indicates a tendency for Dr. Villa to run significantly behind schedule.
- Potential Communication Issues Regarding Delays: The negative experience highlights a lack of proactive communication with waiting patients about the reasons for delays and their options.
- Pleasant Reception Staff: The receptionist is described as "very pleasant," suggesting a positive initial interaction with the office.
As Dr. Villa is described as performing surgeries and known for "saving lives," it is highly likely that his services extend beyond routine cardiac consultations. He likely specializes in interventional cardiology and/or cardiac surgery. Potential services could include:
- Cardiac Surgery: Performing surgical procedures to treat various heart conditions, potentially including bypass surgery, valve repair or replacement, and other complex interventions.
- Interventional Cardiology Procedures: Utilizing catheter-based techniques to diagnose and treat heart conditions, such as angioplasty and stenting.
- Cardiac Consultations and Evaluations: Assessing patients with a wide range of heart problems to determine the most appropriate course of treatment.
- Pre- and Post-operative Care: Managing patients before and after surgical or interventional procedures.
- Medication Management: Prescribing and managing medications for cardiac conditions.
The environment of Dr. Villa's office at 661 University Blvd suite 201 is not explicitly detailed in the reviews. It is likely a standard medical office setting suitable for consultations and pre-operative assessments. Given the reported surgical success, Dr. Villa likely has privileges at a nearby hospital where he performs surgical procedures.
There is no promotional information available for Dr. Villa's practice in the provided data. We have no details about special programs, new patient incentives, or any marketing efforts.
For our users in Taiwan seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," the contrasting reviews for Dr. Villa present a complex picture. The potential for exceptional surgical outcomes and a caring attitude must be weighed against the reported issues with appointment delays and communication. When researching local cardiologists, it is crucial to consider not only the physician's medical expertise but also the overall patient experience, including punctuality and communication practices. A pattern of significant delays and poor communication can be frustrating and may impact a patient's confidence and comfort level, even if the physician is highly skilled.
It is important to consider that these are just two individual experiences, and the overall patient satisfaction with Dr. Villa's practice may vary. However, these reviews highlight potential strengths and weaknesses that warrant consideration. When choosing a cardiologist, seeking a balance between medical expertise and patient-centered practices is often ideal.
In conclusion, Dr. Augusto E. Villa appears to be a cardiologist in Jupiter, Florida, with a reputation for potentially life-saving surgical skills and a caring demeanor, according to one patient. However, another patient reported significant issues with appointment delays and a lack of proactive communication. For users in Taiwan seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," this case underscores the importance of considering all aspects of a physician's practice, including both clinical expertise and patient management, when making healthcare decisions. Further research, if possible, might be beneficial to gain a broader understanding of the typical patient experience with Dr. Villa's practice.

Dr. Villa is actually Superman though he hides his cape under the Dr.'s white coat. I've known of so many hundreds and hundreds of surgeries which have all been successful. He's great with patients and deeply cares about each and every patient. Saving Lives is what he's known.
Dr. Villa helped my Mom so much! He did the Mitraclip surgery a few days ago and my Mom is doing better than she has in a long time! Although there is a lack of communication a lot of the time, and you can not be in a hurry to do anything, my Mom is very pleased with her surgery and finds Dr. Villa a very caring man! We thank him from the bottom of our "heart" for helping our Mom! Lorraine Donohue's Family!
The WORST run medical practice I have ever encountered. The staff is rude, incompetent and lacking any compassion. Their inattentiveness delayed my cancer surgery significantly as the cancer surgeon waited for them to get around to sending a simple fax. Run, don’t walk, away from this dr and this terrible practice.
