If you are looking for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Deaconess Heart Group - Midtown, part of the well-respected Deaconess Health System, provides a local point of access to a range of cardiac services.

The environment of Deaconess Heart Group - Midtown, being part of a larger healthcare system, likely reflects a commitment to providing a modern and well-equipped facility for patient care. Located in a medical building suite, patients can anticipate comfortable waiting areas, private examination rooms, and potentially on-site diagnostic testing areas. The focus is likely on creating a professional and reassuring atmosphere for individuals seeking cardiac consultations, evaluations, and ongoing management of heart conditions. The positive review mentioning a "state of the art facility" supports this expectation.

As a comprehensive heart group, Deaconess Heart Group - Midtown likely offers a wide array of cardiovascular services. These typically include consultations with board-certified cardiologists, non-invasive diagnostic testing such as electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress tests (both exercise and pharmacological), and ambulatory rhythm monitoring (like Holter and event monitors). They are also likely involved in the diagnosis and management of various heart conditions, including coronary artery disease (angina, myocardial infarction), heart failure, arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, tachycardia), valvular heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol).

The positive review notes that Deaconess Heart Group - Midtown has a "great bunch of physicians, nurses, and staff," indicating a collaborative and skilled team approach to patient care. The mention that "if you need any heart related issues treated there is a doctor here that can and will help you" suggests a comprehensive range of expertise within the group to address diverse cardiac needs. Furthermore, the information that "they also serve the local hospitals in the area" implies a significant role in providing cardiac care for patients admitted to these facilities, potentially including emergency situations and specialized procedures.

However, it is crucial to present a balanced perspective by also considering any negative feedback. One reviewer shared a concerning experience, detailing difficulties in seeing the same doctor for atrial fibrillation (afib), frequent medication changes, and a perceived lack of timely response during a severe afib episode. This patient expressed frustration with scheduling and communication, feeling that their procedure was being unduly delayed. This feedback highlights potential challenges related to patient continuity of care, communication efficiency, and appointment availability, especially given the positive reviewer's comment that "they have a lot of patients so schedule accordingly."

Based on the available information, the features of Deaconess Heart Group - Midtown likely include:

  • Team of Cardiovascular Specialists: Including physicians, nurses, and other support staff focused on heart care.

Given the mixed feedback, it is difficult to ascertain specific promotional information. I've been in the hospital 3 times in a month for afib. I can never see the same Dr and my meds get changed. Today I'm in terrible afib and they couldn't find the time to return my call before everyone took off early. I feel like I'll be dead before I get a simple procedure to fix my problem. It's put off till the first of November
