David Zisa Introduce

For individuals in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas seeking cardiovascular care, the platform category "Heart Doctor Near Me" presents David Zisa, M.D., a cardiologist located at 2605 Keiser Blvd, Wyomissing, PA 19610, USA. Dr. Zisa can be contacted at (610) 685-8500 or via mobile phone at +1 610-685-8500 to inquire about his services or schedule an appointment. The available online reviews offer contrasting perspectives on patient experiences with Dr. Zisa, which potential patients may find informative.

One review details a negative experience concerning the care of a 70-year-old mother. The reviewer expresses dissatisfaction with Dr. Zisa's alleged failure to disclose test results to the patient's primary care physician (PCP) for necessary follow-up. Additionally, this reviewer raises concern about Dr. Zisa reportedly informing the patient's PCP that the patient was "Bipolar," questioning whether a cardiologist should be making such a psychiatric assessment. The reviewer concludes with strong disapproval, stating that if a zero-star rating were possible, they would choose it, and advises Dr. Zisa to be more considerate in his interactions with elderly patients.

In contrast, another review presents a positive experience. This patient specifically mentions undergoing a cardiac catheterization performed by Dr. Zisa. They found Dr. Zisa and his team to be "very helpful" in addressing all their questions, which contributed to making the procedure "less stressful." Based on this experience, the patient "highly recommend Dr. Zisa." This feedback suggests a positive interaction during a specific cardiac procedure, highlighting Dr. Zisa's communication skills and the supportive nature of his team in alleviating patient anxiety.

Given these contrasting accounts, it is challenging to definitively characterize the typical environment of Dr. Zisa's practice. However, as a cardiologist, he likely operates within a standard medical office setting. This would typically include examination rooms for patient consultations and physical assessments, areas equipped for conducting various cardiac diagnostic tests, and a reception area for patient check-in and administrative tasks. The focus would generally be on providing a professional and clean environment for delivering medical care.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Zisa's services would encompass a range of cardiac care aimed at diagnosing and treating conditions of the heart and blood vessels. These services typically include:

  • Cardiac Consultation and Evaluation: Thorough review of a patient's medical history, physical examination, and assessment of cardiovascular risk factors to determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Cardiologists utilize various tests to assess heart function and identify potential problems. These may include electrocardiograms (ECG or EKG), echocardiograms (ultrasound imaging of the heart), stress tests (exercise or pharmacological), and ambulatory monitoring (Holter and event monitors). Given the mention of cardiac catheterization in a positive review, Dr. Zisa likely performs or coordinates such invasive diagnostic procedures as well.
  • Management of Cardiovascular Conditions: This includes the treatment of a wide range of heart conditions such as coronary artery disease (angina, heart attacks), heart failure, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), valvular heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol).
  • Interventional Cardiology (Potentially): The positive mention of performing a cardiac catheterization suggests that Dr. Zisa may also be involved in interventional cardiology, which includes procedures like angioplasty and stenting to open blocked arteries.
  • Preventive Cardiology: Assessment of cardiovascular risk factors and counseling on lifestyle modifications, medication management, and strategies to prevent the development or progression of heart disease.
  • Medication Management: Cardiologists are skilled in prescribing and managing medications used to treat various heart conditions, ensuring optimal effectiveness and patient safety.
  • Coordination of Care: Cardiologists often collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care. The negative review raises concerns about the effectiveness of this coordination in one instance.
  • Follow-Up Care: Regular check-ups and ongoing monitoring are essential for managing chronic heart conditions and ensuring the long-term well-being of patients.

The limited and conflicting nature of the online reviews makes it difficult to pinpoint specific features of Dr. Zisa's practice. The positive review highlights his helpfulness and the supportive nature of his team during a cardiac catheterization, suggesting good communication and patient care in that context. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about communication with the PCP, disclosure of test results, and the appropriateness of a non-psychiatric physician offering a psychiatric assessment. Potential patients may need to weigh these contrasting experiences when considering Dr. Zisa's care.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Dr. David Zisa. The existing patient feedback provides a mixed picture, with one patient highly recommending him based on their experience with a cardiac catheterization, while another reports significant issues with communication and professional conduct. This lack of consistent positive feedback may be a factor for potential patients to consider.

For individuals in Wyomissing, PA, seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," Dr. David Zisa, located at 2605 Keiser Blvd, is an option to consider. However, it is important to be aware of the contrasting patient experiences reported in online reviews. While one patient found him and his team helpful during a cardiac catheterization, another reported significant concerns regarding communication and professional judgment. Potential patients may want to seek further information or consider these perspectives when making their decision. To learn more about Dr. Zisa's services or to schedule an appointment, you can contact his office directly at (610) 685-8500 or via mobile phone at +1 610-685-8500. It may be beneficial to ask specific questions about communication protocols and coordination of care with PCPs during an initial inquiry.

Choosing the right cardiologist is a crucial decision for your health. The contrasting feedback available for Dr. Zisa highlights the importance of considering multiple perspectives and potentially seeking additional information before making a choice. While positive experiences are reported in some cases, concerns raised in other reviews regarding communication and professional conduct should be carefully considered by prospective patients in the Wyomissing area.

My 70 year old mom had this Dr and did not have a good experience with him . He had tests run on her and never disclosed those results to her PCP so that she could follow up with my mother . He also told my mother’s PCP that my mother is “Bipolar” . I thought he was a Cardiologist not a psychiatrist? If I could give ZERO stars I would . Be nice Dr. Zisa ! That’s not how you work with elderly people !
