CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck Emergency & Trauma Center Introduce

If you are in the Bismarck, North Dakota area and searching for a facility under the broad category of "Heart Doctor Near Me," you might consider hospitals that offer emergency and trauma services, as these centers often handle acute cardiac events. CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck Emergency & Trauma Center, located at 900 E Broadway Ave, Bismarck, ND 58501, USA, is one such facility. It's important to note that an Emergency & Trauma Center primarily focuses on immediate and critical medical needs, which can include severe heart-related issues. However, the available reviews provide insight into some patient experiences at this facility that should be taken into consideration.

Based on the feedback from recent customers, the experiences at CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck Emergency & Trauma Center have been significantly negative for some individuals. One reviewer described the entire ER experience as "a joke." They specifically mentioned a male Asian doctor who they felt was "an absolute condescending jerk," alleging that this physician did not care about their medical issues, talked over them, and spoke down to them. This experience was so negative that the reviewer and their companion chose to leave without receiving care and stated they would seek medical attention elsewhere and advise others to avoid this facility. They expressed dismay at the perceived state of the healthcare community and wished they could give a zero-star rating.

This same reviewer also highlighted the anxiety some individuals face when seeking medical care and emphasized that being treated poorly in such a situation only exacerbates the problem. This comment underscores the importance of compassionate and respectful patient interactions, particularly in a setting like an emergency room where patients are often already stressed and vulnerable.

Another review described the care received as "terrible" and "very inadequate." This patient reported going home after two days with what they perceived as minimal real care for pericarditis and pneumonia, allegedly only treated with a small amount of steroids. Subsequently, they sought care at a clinic the next day, where a different doctor prescribed antibiotics and expressed concern about their condition. This reviewer also mentioned coming to the ER with COVID-19, which they noted is hard on their existing heart condition (OHCM - hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). They concluded by referring to the doctors encountered in the ER as a "joke," indicating a profound lack of confidence in the care they received.

The services offered at CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck Emergency & Trauma Center would typically include immediate medical care for a wide range of conditions, including those that might fall under the concern of someone looking for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in an emergency context, such as heart attacks or severe arrhythmias. As a Trauma Center, they are also equipped to handle severe injuries. However, the provided reviews do not offer specific details about their cardiac specialists or the typical environment of the emergency department beyond the negative interactions described.

Given the strongly negative feedback regarding the attitude of at least one doctor and the perceived inadequacy of care for serious medical conditions, it is challenging to highlight positive features based solely on these reviews. The experiences shared suggest potential issues with patient communication, empathy, and the thoroughness of medical treatment in some cases.

There is no promotional information available for CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck Emergency & Trauma Center in the provided text. The reviews instead serve as warnings for potential patients based on the experiences of others. When looking for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" or considering an emergency facility for cardiac concerns, these accounts suggest a need for caution and perhaps seeking additional information or considering alternative options if possible.

For local users in Bismarck, ND, who are looking for cardiac care, especially in an emergency situation, the feedback regarding CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck Emergency & Trauma Center is concerning. The allegations of condescending behavior from a physician and inadequate treatment for serious conditions like pericarditis, pneumonia, and COVID-19 (in a patient with a heart condition) should be carefully considered. While emergency rooms are often necessary for immediate care, these reviews highlight potential shortcomings in the patient experience and the quality of care received by some individuals.

If you require emergency cardiac care in Bismarck, ND, CHI St. Alexius is a local option due to its Emergency & Trauma Center designation. However, given the negative reviews, it may be wise to also research other healthcare facilities in the area if time and circumstances permit, or to be prepared to advocate strongly for your care and ensure your concerns are taken seriously. You can contact the hospital at (701) 530-7000 or +1 701-530-7000 for any urgent medical needs, but be mindful of the experiences shared by other patients.

In conclusion, while CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck Emergency & Trauma Center is a local hospital that handles emergencies, including potential cardiac events, the recent patient reviews present significant negative feedback regarding the attitude of some staff and the quality of care received. For those searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me" in an emergency context, these reviews suggest caution and the importance of advocating for thorough and respectful medical treatment. It would be prudent for local users to be aware of these experiences when considering their options for emergency cardiac care in Bismarck.
