Carolina Cardiology Cornerstone: Ali Akbary, MD Introduce
For individuals in Taiwan seeking information about cardiac care facilities, particularly within the context of the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category, this introduction focuses on Carolina Cardiology Cornerstone, specifically addressing the experiences shared regarding Ali Akbary, MD, who practices at this location in High Point, North Carolina, USA. Given the seriousness of the feedback provided by patients, it is crucial to present this information objectively and directly, as it may raise significant concerns for anyone considering seeking care from Dr. Akbary.
Carolina Cardiology Cornerstone, where Dr. Ali Akbary practices, is located at 306 W Westwood Ave #4342, High Point, NC 27262, USA. They can be contacted by phone at (336) 885-6168 or via mobile phone at +1 336-885-6168. While direct access for users in Taiwan is not feasible, these contact details are provided for informational purposes only, in the context of the serious concerns raised in the patient reviews.
The available information consists of two extremely negative reviews detailing critical incidents and expressing significant dissatisfaction with the care provided by Dr. Akbary. The first review recounts a harrowing experience where the patient's father underwent a cardiac ablation procedure performed by Dr. Akbary. According to the review, the father's heart was pierced during the procedure, necessitating an emergency airlift to a hospital in Winston-Salem. The patient spent a week in the hospital "fighting for his life" and still required a future procedure to address his atrial fibrillation. Shockingly, the reviewer states that "This Doctor never once called mailed or text to see how my Dad was after almost killing him." The reviewer concludes with a strong warning: "whatever you do … DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR," and mentions pursuing legal action.
The second review echoes a severe lack of patient care, alleging negligence regarding the timely prescription refills for a critical heart medication. The reviewer states that "This doctor doesn't care if a patient is out of heart meds" and that their husband had been without his "much needed heart medication" for five days at the time of the review. The reviewer explicitly warns, "if anything happens to my husband, I will sue for malpractice." This review also strongly advises others to "find another heart doctor if you are given Dr. Akberry because he sure doesn't care about his patients." The reviewer also expressed frustration with the rating system, wishing for a "zero star button" to reflect their extreme dissatisfaction.
Given the gravity of these reviews, providing information about the environment, services, features, or promotional aspects of Dr. Akbary's practice becomes secondary to highlighting these critical patient experiences. It is important to note that these are individual accounts and may not represent the experiences of all patients. However, the nature of the allegations, particularly the claim of a severe surgical complication and the alleged neglect regarding essential medication, warrants serious consideration.
Typically, a cardiologist like Dr. Akbary would offer services related to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart conditions. Cardiac ablation, mentioned in one review, is a procedure used to treat arrhythmias by destroying small areas of the heart tissue causing the irregular heartbeats. However, the reported outcome of this procedure in the review is extremely concerning.
The lack of follow-up after a severe complication, as alleged in the first review, and the alleged failure to provide timely medication refills in the second review, point to significant potential issues with Dr. Akbary's patient care and communication. These are critical aspects of a physician's responsibility, and the negative feedback raises serious doubts about the standard of care reported by these individuals.
Features that one might typically look for in a cardiologist include board certification, experience with various cardiac procedures, affiliations with reputable hospitals, and positive patient reviews. However, the overwhelmingly negative nature of the available reviews for Dr. Akbary overshadows any potential positive features that might otherwise be considered.
Promotional information is absent, and in light of the severe allegations made by patients, any attempt to promote Dr. Akbary's services would be inappropriate and potentially misleading without a more comprehensive and balanced set of information. The existing information strongly suggests a need for extreme caution for anyone considering Dr. Akbary for their cardiac care.
For users in Taiwan searching for a "Heart Doctor Near Me," the experiences reported regarding Dr. Ali Akbary serve as a stark reminder of the importance of thorough research and due diligence when selecting a healthcare provider. While negative reviews can sometimes be outliers, the severity and consistency of the issues raised in these two accounts are deeply concerning. When seeking local cardiac care in Taiwan, individuals should consider the following:
- Seek Multiple Sources of Information: Do not rely on a single review or source. Look for a pattern of feedback across various platforms, if available for local doctors.
- Check Credentials and Affiliations: Verify the doctor's qualifications, board certifications, and affiliations with reputable hospitals or medical centers in Taiwan.
- Consider the Doctor's Communication and Follow-Up Practices: A good doctor should communicate clearly with patients and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
- Trust Your Instincts: If you have any doubts or concerns during a consultation, it is always wise to seek a second opinion.
- Inquire About Procedures and Potential Risks: Understand the procedures being recommended, their potential risks, and the doctor's experience with them.
- Pay Attention to Medication Management: Ensure that your prescriptions are handled efficiently and that you have clear instructions for refills.
The information available regarding Dr. Ali Akbary at Carolina Cardiology Cornerstone in High Point, NC, USA, presents significant red flags based on the experiences shared by two patients. While these are individual accounts, the seriousness of the allegations, including a major surgical complication and alleged negligence in medication management, should not be ignored. For users in Taiwan seeking a "Heart Doctor Near Me," this case underscores the critical importance of careful research and selecting a healthcare provider who demonstrates competence, care, and a commitment to patient safety and well-being.

If I could give him a lower review I would. This Dr (using loosely) was giving my father an ablation. Pierced his heart during procedure. We had to airlift my father to Winston. After a week of being in hospital fighting for his life he finally got to come home. Still has to have procedure to fix afib. This Doctor never once called mailed or text to see how my Dad was after almost killing him. Our next step is seeing a lawyer .. whatever you do … DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR
This doctor doesn't care if a patient is out of heart meds. Still hasn't given my husband his refill on a much needed heart medication. It has been 5 days since my husband had his heart meds and let me be perfectly clear, if anything happens to my husband, I will sue for malpractice. Do yourselves a favor, find another heart doctor if you are given Dr. Akberry because he sure doesn't care about his patients. Also, I had no choice but to give 1 star. It's a shame there isn't a zero star button.
Unprepared when in office visits. Seems to be looking at charts for the first time. When I ask questions, he has to flip through the data and make an observation. Have sent 2 emails and literally get no response from him or any of the staff.
Please never see this doctor my grandfather was in lexington hospital but he said to the doctor at the hospital he will put him on a blood thinner but then refused to so never see this so call doctor.
