Situated in Hendersonville, this clinic is part of a larger network, suggesting a commitment to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care within the region. While specific details about the immediate office environment are not extensively described online, clinics within established heart and vascular groups typically prioritize creating a comfortable and professional setting for patient consultations, examinations, and pre-operative appointments. Patients can likely expect a welcoming reception area, private examination rooms, and facilities equipped for basic cardiac assessments.

As a cardiologist affiliated with Tennessee Heart and Vascular, Dr. Butera's services would encompass a wide range of cardiac care, including the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart and vascular diseases. This includes common conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), coronary artery disease (angina, heart attacks), heart failure (weakened heart muscle), arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats like atrial fibrillation), valvular heart disease (heart valve problems), and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol). Patients seeking care from Dr. Butera can anticipate comprehensive cardiac evaluations, which may involve a review of their medical history, thorough physical examinations, and the ordering and interpretation of various diagnostic tests. These tests could include electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms (ultrasounds of the heart), stress tests (to assess heart function under exertion), and potentially ambulatory monitoring (Holter or event monitors) to detect irregular heart rhythms. As part of a larger vascular group, access to more specialized procedures like cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and stenting may also be available, either directly at this location or through coordinated care within the network.

The features of Dr. Butera's practice, as highlighted by the available patient reviews, strongly emphasize his patient-centered approach and his ability to create a comfortable and reassuring experience for individuals, even those who are initially nervous. One patient specifically mentioned feeling at ease within minutes of their first appointment due to Dr. Butera's concern for their test results and his clear explanations of what needed to be done. This suggests a physician who prioritizes effective communication and ensures patients understand their medical situation and the proposed treatment plan.

Another significant feature is Dr. Butera's thoroughness and patience, particularly when explaining complex medical information. One reviewer, whose husband switched to Dr. Butera within the same company, specifically praised his patient demeanor, acknowledging that older patients may require information to be repeated. The fact that Dr. Butera "took the time to make sure everything was understood" and had a "wonderful way of not making you feel like you are asking too many questions" underscores his commitment to clear and empathetic communication. This is a crucial aspect of building trust and ensuring patient compliance with treatment plans, especially when dealing with potentially frightening health concerns.

The reviews also highlight Dr. Butera's proactive approach to care. One patient mentioned that he not only explained their test results and outlined necessary steps but also facilitated the scheduling of a follow-up appointment with another healthcare professional (Katie) and scheduled surgery for them. This indicates a willingness to take ownership of the patient's care journey and ensure seamless coordination of necessary medical services. The sentiment expressed by this patient – "It was such a good feeling to know they really cared about me" – speaks volumes about the level of empathy and concern Dr. Butera and his team convey.

As Dr. Butera practices within Tennessee Heart and Vascular, patients likely benefit from the resources and infrastructure of a larger, established cardiovascular group. I was very nervous going to my first appointment with Dr. Butera but within minutes was put at ease with how concerned he was with my test results and how he explained them to me and let me know what had to be done. He made an appointment with Katie for me which really was great. Also scheduled surgery for me. It was such a good feeling to know they really cared about me. Thank you so much!

This doctor (Brian Butera) failed to identify chemical damage in lungs and allowed me to be discharged from the Hendersonville hospital almost ending my life. Spent 6 days in Skyline ICU later that day.
