For individuals in Longmont, Colorado, seeking cardiovascular care within the "Heart Doctor Near Me" category, Boulder Heart at Longmont is one of the available options. Located at 2101 Ken Pratt Blvd, this facility provides a local point of access for individuals concerned about their heart health. While specific details about the clinic's environment are not extensively provided, patients can generally expect a standard medical office setting where consultations, examinations, and potentially some diagnostic procedures related to cardiology are conducted. The location on Ken Pratt Boulevard offers accessibility for residents of Longmont and the surrounding areas.

Boulder Heart at Longmont is a cardiology practice that likely offers a range of services focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart and vascular diseases. Although a comprehensive list of their specific services is not explicitly detailed in the provided information, typical services offered by a cardiology practice include:

  • Diagnosis and management of various heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and hypertension.

The provided reviews from patients offer a mixed perspective on Boulder Heart at Longmont. One long-term patient shares a positive experience, recalling that "Dr. Reynolds was very attentive" and placed a stent 15 years prior. This patient attributes their continued ability to engage in physically demanding activities to the care received at this practice, describing it as "a very competent and caring practice" with "Great people!" This positive testimonial suggests that some patients have experienced effective and attentive care at Boulder Heart.

However, the subsequent reviews present significant concerns regarding the financial aspects of care and the perceived attitude of at least one physician. One updated review strongly advises potential patients to "Do NOT come here if you can avoid it," citing "insane prices" that are allegedly not disclosed beforehand. This reviewer claims that Boulder Heart refuses to work with patients on affordable monthly payment plans, instead demanding payments that are financially prohibitive. The reviewer expresses a feeling of a lack of care and suggests that better care with more reasonable prices and payment options may be found elsewhere. This paints a concerning picture of the billing practices and financial consideration for patients at this facility.

The original review echoes the sentiment about exorbitant costs, with the patient stating, "The costs here are pure insanity. Maybe it's all cardiologists, but it shouldn't be legal to charge that much for any kind of healthcare and they don't even warn you ahead of the appointment." This patient reports unexpected bills in the "several thousand each" range for a stress test and echo, far exceeding their initial expectations. Additionally, this reviewer found the doctor they saw to be "pretty dismissive." The only positive aspects mentioned were the speed at which an appointment could be secured and the helpfulness of the receptionists in navigating billing before the year's deductible was met. This suggests a potential disconnect between the administrative efficiency and the perceived quality of physician interaction and the transparency of costs.

The stark contrast between the positive long-term experience and the more recent, highly critical reviews regarding costs and physician demeanor suggests that patient experiences at Boulder Heart in Longmont may vary significantly. Potential patients should be aware of these differing perspectives when considering this practice for their cardiac care needs.

The provided information does not contain any specific promotional details for Boulder Heart at Longmont. Given the strong negative feedback regarding pricing and billing transparency in recent reviews, it is unlikely that the practice is actively promoting new patient specials without addressing these concerns. Individuals considering Boulder Heart for their care may want to proactively inquire about all potential costs associated with consultations, tests, and procedures upfront and discuss payment options and financial policies in detail before proceeding with treatment.

In conclusion, Boulder Heart at Longmont, located on Ken Pratt Blvd, offers cardiac care services in the local community. While one long-term patient reports a positive experience with attentive care and successful treatment, more recent reviews raise serious concerns about "insane prices," a lack of cost transparency, inflexible payment options, and a dismissive attitude from at least one physician. Potential patients should carefully consider these contrasting viewpoints and are strongly advised to thoroughly discuss all financial aspects of their care and the expected patient experience with the clinic staff before making a decision about their heart healthcare needs.

My father died from massive heart disease at the age of 48. As a result, Dr. Reynolds was very attentive with me and placed a stent in my LAD 15 years ago. My health allowed me to SCUBA dive until I was 75 and climb 11 fourteeners starting when I was 55. A very competent and caring practice. Great people!

Dean Springstead did a great job explaining what was going on with my heart, what tests should be done, why and when they should be done, what treatment options are available, and what I could expect. He is very friendly and very knowledgeable about my condition. He explains things in a way that I can understand. He encouraged me to call him if I have any concerns before a scheduled appointment. I am glad to have him overseeing my care.
