When selecting a healthcare provider, it is often helpful to consider the experiences of other patients. The publicly available reviews for B. Keith Ellis, MD, present a range of perspectives that potential patients may find relevant. It is important to note that these reviews reflect individual experiences and may not represent the views of all patients.

One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction, stating, "If you are a black person run now while you can," and described the staff as "majority angry racist hispanic women" who were perceived as "so RUDE." This reviewer also mentioned discussing the staff's behavior with the doctor, after which they reported their next visit was "awful." Additionally, this reviewer recounted mentioning that prescribed medication made them tired and unproductive, to which the doctor reportedly "just LAUGHED and said I had to take something." The reviewer concluded by questioning, "Why are the staff at Sugarland hospital so racist," although Dr. Ellis's office address is on Southwest Freeway, not directly associated with Sugar Land Hospital based on the address provided.

Another review detailed a negative experience involving a long wait time of two hours, followed by a brief consultation of approximately ten minutes. According to this review, Dr. Ellis left the room, stating he would return to explain things but did not, allegedly sending in a "rude nurse" who purportedly filled out paperwork incorrectly multiple times. This reviewer also raised concerns about work release paperwork, stating it was not completed in April despite the patient being unable to work, which then allegedly contradicted a later assertion by Dr. Ellis that the patient was released to work. The reviewer expressed frustration that Dr. Ellis reportedly stated he does not handle long-term disability paperwork, questioning the basis of the work release decision given a follow-up appointment scheduled months later in November. This reviewer indicated considering legal action due to the perceived mismanagement and potential impact on the patient's livelihood and health.

In a response to what appears to be a reply from the clinic, the second reviewer stated they had tried to discuss the issues further but were interrupted. They reiterated their concern that Dr. Ellis was impacting the patient's livelihood based on a "personal belief" about long-term disability and prematurely releasing someone to work. The reviewer emphasized that heart attacks have broader impacts beyond just the heart and that despite the heart functioning, other issues prevented a return to normal activities, which they claim was acknowledged at a previous appointment where no work release was given. The reviewer questioned the subsequent work release without another visit, attributing it again to a "PERSONAL BELIEF" about long-term disability and mentioned the possibility of contacting an attorney due to the perceived improper handling and potential risk to the patient's health.

Based solely on the provided review information, there are significant negative experiences reported by these individuals regarding both staff conduct and the doctor's bedside manner and handling of administrative aspects of care. These reviews highlight concerns about perceived rudeness, potential racial bias, communication issues, and the management of disability paperwork.

As this platform aims to provide objective introductions based on available information, it is crucial to include all perspectives found in the provided text. The absence of positive reviews in this specific data set means the introduction will primarily reflect the negative experiences detailed by these reviewers. I have difficulty getting prescriptions refills, when needed. You have to leave a voice message and calls are not returned in a timely fashion. He has been my cardiologist for 5 years.
