As a "Heart Doctor Near Me" within the AtlantiCare system, the Egg Harbor Township cardiology group likely offers a range of services expected from a cardiac care provider. These typically include diagnostic evaluations to assess heart function and identify potential issues. Such evaluations often involve procedures like electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs), which measure the electrical activity of the heart; echocardiograms, using ultrasound to visualize the heart's structure and function; stress tests, monitoring heart activity during exercise; and potentially Holter or event monitors for extended heart rhythm monitoring.

Beyond diagnostics, cardiologists at this location would typically provide consultations to discuss findings, explain diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans. These plans might involve lifestyle modifications, medication management, or recommendations for interventional procedures when necessary. As part of a larger physician group, patients may also benefit from potential collaboration and referrals to other specialists within the AtlantiCare network, ensuring a more integrated approach to overall health.

The physical environment of AtlantiCare Physician Group, Cardiology, in Egg Harbor Township is situated within Building 200 of the English Creek Avenue complex. While specific details about the clinic's ambiance are not available online, it is reasonable to expect a professional healthcare setting designed to ensure patient comfort and privacy during consultations and examinations. Accessibility features, common in modern medical facilities, are also likely in place to accommodate individuals with varying mobility needs.

Features of this cardiology practice would primarily revolve around the expertise of its physicians and the scope of cardiac services offered. While the provided information mentions Dr. Collins and Dr. Vankawala by name, it's important to note that the reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the patient experience. Dr. Collins is described as "wonderful" by one reviewer, suggesting a positive clinical interaction. However, this positive feedback is juxtaposed with significant concerns regarding the administrative staff's responsiveness and communication. The reviewer recounts difficulties in contacting the nursing staff post-hospitalization and an appointment cancellation allegedly due to internal communication issues regarding a heart monitor.

Another detailed review focuses on the experience with Dr. Vankawala, highlighting concerns about the diagnostic process and the perceived dismissal of the patient's concerns. This individual reported experiencing episodes of atrial fibrillation (Afib) and felt that the initial conclusion linking it solely to caffeine intake was premature and ultimately incorrect. The reviewer further states that the treatment options presented by Dr. Vankawala felt limited and that a second opinion outside the AtlantiCare system led to a more thorough investigation and a different diagnosis (esophagitis-related Afib). This account raises questions about the thoroughness of the initial assessment and the patient-centeredness of the care received in this particular case.

It is crucial for prospective local users to consider these varied experiences when evaluating AtlantiCare Physician Group, Cardiology, in Egg Harbor Township. While one patient praises a specific doctor, the issues raised regarding staff communication and the diagnostic approach in another instance warrant careful consideration. It's important to remember that individual experiences can vary, and these reviews represent only a snapshot of some patients' journeys.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available online for this particular cardiology practice within AtlantiCare Physician Group in Egg Harbor Township. Therefore, local users interested in their services would need to directly contact the office to inquire about any ongoing initiatives, new patient specials, or specific programs they might offer. Information regarding accepted insurance plans and payment options would also be obtained directly from the clinic.

In conclusion, AtlantiCare Physician Group, Cardiology, in Egg Harbor Township serves as a local option for individuals seeking cardiac care. They offer a range of diagnostic and consultative services, likely within a standard medical office environment. However, the available patient reviews present a mixed picture, with positive feedback for at least one physician contrasted by significant concerns regarding administrative processes and the diagnostic experience with another. Local users are encouraged to consider these perspectives alongside their own needs and preferences when making decisions about their heart healthcare providers and may wish to inquire further with the clinic directly to gather more information.

Atlanticare Cardiology is the absolute WORST. I have called the office twice this week due to being denied a test but my insurance company. I explained that I needed a call back due to the fact that this test denial is holding up my being cleared for another test. I wanted to know what Dr. Elanhal recommended. I'm still waiting for a call back. They should be ashamed of themselves for not getting back to patients in a timely manner. I will definitely be looking for a new doctor.

I paid their bill immediately when I received it and since it was with an HSA account I did not immediately receive a statement to view if was deducted. They sent it to collections without ever calling or sending another bill saying the payment was not received. Pretty lazy if you ask me. Not sure who is doing their billing but someone needs to get on the ball. No wonder healthcare is so expensive, they would rather spend money to hire a collection agency then hire competent people.
