Akash Makkar, MD, FHRS Electrophysiologist Introduce

For individuals in Taiwan seeking information about specialized cardiac care, particularly in the field of electrophysiology for relatives or acquaintances residing in the Phoenix, Arizona area of the United States, or for those interested in understanding the range of experiences with a heart rhythm specialist, we present an overview of Akash Makkar, MD, FHRS, Electrophysiologist, practicing at 3501 N 24th St, Phoenix, AZ 85016, USA. He can be reached by phone at (602) 698-5820 or via mobile phone at +1 602-698-5820. Based on the limited online reviews, patient experiences appear to be mixed, with praise for Dr. Makkar's expertise and his staff's helpfulness contrasted by concerns regarding rushed appointments, unexpected charges, and significant billing issues stemming from disconnected office systems.

One reviewer acknowledges Dr. Makkar as a "good Dr." However, this positive sentiment is tempered by a critical observation regarding his consultation style. The reviewer notes that Dr. Makkar has a tendency to "rush you through appointments before you can ask questions" and also reportedly "does not inform patients of extra charges for some treatments." These are significant concerns as they can impede effective patient-doctor communication and lead to unexpected financial burdens, potentially undermining the quality of care and patient trust.

Expanding on the administrative aspects of the practice, the same reviewer details substantial problems with the office and billing procedures. They describe the offices, billing system, and associated apps as "disconnected," which allegedly results in a "tornado of constant billing" for the patient. The reviewer further claims to have outstanding bills from the previous year that have not been submitted to insurance for claims, yet they continue to receive bills directly. This paints a picture of significant administrative disarray, leading to considerable "hassle" for the patient. The reviewer concludes that these issues outweigh the perceived benefits of Dr. Makkar's medical care, stating that it is "all in all too much hassle."

In contrast to this negative experience, another reviewer offers a highly positive assessment of Dr. Makkar's medical skills and patient care. They state that Dr. Makkar's "care, concern and expertise treating my father has been outstanding." This directly contradicts the previous reviewer's implication of inadequate patient communication, suggesting that Dr. Makkar's approach may vary or that this patient's experience was significantly different. This second reviewer also praises Dr. Makkar's staff, specifically mentioning "Grace" and the rest of the team as "helpful and patient." Based on their positive experience with Dr. Makkar and his staff, this reviewer "highly recommend this cardiologist."

Given these conflicting accounts, it is difficult to definitively describe the environment of Dr. Makkar's practice. The positive feedback suggests a clinic where the medical expertise is high and the staff can be supportive and patient. However, the negative feedback paints a picture of a disorganized administrative environment that can lead to significant patient frustration and financial stress. The physical appearance or amenities of the office are not mentioned in either review.

  • Overall administrative hassle: Described as a significant drawback by one patient.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided. The positive testimonial regarding Dr. Makkar's care and his staff's helpfulness could serve as a positive endorsement for his medical abilities. However, the detailed negative account of administrative and billing problems acts as a significant cautionary note, potentially outweighing the positive feedback for patients who value clear communication and efficient administrative processes.

In conclusion, Akash Makkar, MD, FHRS, is an electrophysiologist in Phoenix, Arizona, who is praised by at least one patient for his expertise and the helpfulness of his staff. However, significant concerns have been raised by another patient regarding rushed appointments, a lack of transparency about extra charges, and substantial issues with the office's disconnected billing system, leading to ongoing billing problems and frustration. For individuals in Taiwan seeking information for those in Phoenix, Arizona, it is crucial to consider both the reported strengths in medical care and the potentially significant administrative challenges when evaluating Dr. Makkar's practice. Prospective patients may want to inquire specifically about billing procedures and appointment scheduling expectations before choosing this provider.

Dr Makkar is a good Dr. He is bad about rushing you through appointments before you can ask questions and does not inform patients of extra charges for some treatments The offices and billing and their apps are disconnected which sends the patient in a tornado of constant billing. I have bills from last year still not sent to insurance for claims and they keep billing me. All in all too much hassle.

I have seen the PA Zach amd Dr Mo. Zach is very pleasant and thorough. Very accommodating. Have only done phone calls with him. Its worked out great. Dr. Mo is pleasant and reexplained thing when I didn't understand. The waiting room is small and seems to always be crowded. I might ask next time to do tele-medicine.
