The physical environment of Advanced Cardiology Consultants is expected to be a standard medical office setting. This would typically include a reception area for patients to check in, waiting rooms, examination rooms where consultations and initial assessments take place, and potentially areas for conducting certain diagnostic tests. The specific ambiance and facilities within the clinic are not detailed in the provided information.

Based on the general nature of a cardiology practice, the services offered by Advanced Cardiology Consultants likely include:

  • Clinical Cardiology Consultations: Patients can expect to meet with cardiologists to discuss their heart health concerns, medical history, and any symptoms they may be experiencing. These consultations are crucial for diagnosis and the development of treatment plans.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Cardiology practices typically offer a range of non-invasive and potentially minimally invasive diagnostic tests to assess heart function and identify cardiac issues. These may include electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and possibly others depending on their in-house capabilities and affiliations with local hospitals.
  • Management of Cardiovascular Conditions: Cardiologists at this practice would likely manage various heart conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease. This often involves medication management and lifestyle recommendations.
  • Preventive Cardiology: Providing guidance on lifestyle modifications, risk factor management, and patient education to prevent the onset or progression of heart disease is an important aspect of cardiology.
  • Arrhythmia Management: This may include the diagnosis and management of irregular heart rhythms, potentially involving medication or referrals for more specialized treatments like pacemakers or defibrillators.

However, it is critical to consider the feedback from the available patient reviews, which paint a concerning picture of the patient experience at Advanced Cardiology Consultants.

One review details a highly negative experience where the patient felt they were charged excessively for tests deemed unnecessary. Furthermore, this patient alleges a lack of follow-up regarding a prescribed pacemaker or defibrillator due to an outstanding bill for the initial office visit. The reviewer explicitly states they will never return to this practice.

Another review echoes concerns about the staff, describing them as "rude." Additionally, this reviewer raises a significant health and safety concern regarding the front desk staff not wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in a setting dealing with heart patients who may be at higher risk. The reviewer also characterizes the receptionists as having no personality, being rude, and uncaring, advising others to "good luck" if they choose to go to this clinic.

These reviews highlight potential issues with billing practices, follow-up care, staff professionalism, and adherence to basic health safety measures. This feedback is significant and should be carefully considered by prospective patients.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Advanced Cardiology Consultants based on the provided text. It is advisable for individuals considering this practice to inquire directly about their services, billing policies, and any health and safety protocols in place.

In conclusion, while Advanced Cardiology Consultants is a listed option for those seeking a “Heart Doctor Near Me” in Florence, SC, the available patient reviews raise serious concerns about the patient experience. Allegations of unnecessary testing, billing issues affecting necessary treatment, rude staff, and a lack of mask-wearing by front desk personnel are significant red flags. Prospective patients should weigh these negative experiences heavily and may want to seek further information or consider alternative cardiology practices in the area to ensure they receive appropriate and respectful care.

I saw them once. I was charged several thousand dollars for tests, to find out they were unnecessary. The only follow up I got from them was about my bill. I never received a call to schedule me for a pacemaker or defibrillator because his office visit bill of $3000 was still in a payment plan. Will NEVER go again. Staff is rude.

Went with my mother for a couple of appointments, staff at desk DO NOT wear masks! You would think that dealing with heart patients, people at higher risk of death if they catch covid, that the people at the front that have contact with all patients, that they would wear masks! The doctors do and the nurses, why not the people at the front desk??? Makes no sense. The receptionists also have no personality and are rude and uncaring. Good luck if you go!

Dr. Debsikdar refused my grandfather treatment for an infection behind the pacemaker he put in him. He said he was only responsible for the actual device, the infection was not his problem. Because he refused to see him my grandfather died from this infection. If all Dr. Debsikdar does is the implantation of the cardiac devices he should be up front with his patients so that they can be referred to a real cardiologist.
